Description

I’ve always loved sports, and I’ve always imagined myself capturing moments on the court. Shooting these photos has been really fun—the freedom to move around, get close-ups, and capture players’ emotions is amazing. This is my only sports photography work so far, done during my freshman year of high school. I wasn’t on varsity yet in the beginning, but while on JV, I continued developing my skills and would watch varsity boys’ and girls’ games for inspiration.

I asked a former Athletic Director at my old high school if I could take pictures, and I was granted permission. I used my creativity to capture unique moments, and I’m really happy with how they turned out. If I have my own camera in the future, I’d be excited to shoot more. Action and sports photography is so much fun, and I’m grateful to express my creativity through photography, not just design. There’s still so much more I want to explore!
